Managing a portfolio of products and providing the necessary intellectual property (IP) advice in relation to them. This may include strategic and risk assessment for the company, initial analysis to determine launch strategy and associated advice before and after launch;
Conduct and analyse searches, provide freedom-to-operate opinions, provide validity and non-infringement opinions in relation to specific patents and non-infringement strategies for third party patents;
Identify European opposition opportunities, and draft, file and handle oppositions and appeals before the European Patent Office (EPO);
Manage the prosecution of our patent portfolio.

Here are the minimum qualifications and essential functions for this position:
·         Degree in chemistry, biochemistry or a related discipline.
·         Ideally, pre-qualification experience would include work in the pharmaceuticals industry or related field. 
·         Excellent project management, communication and presentation skills are desired.
